Complex Care

Love Nursing provides specialist complex care for children & adults with life-limiting and long-term conditions.  Working in partnership with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Social Services and Case Managers, our services enable those with severe disabilities to receive the care and support they need in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

Care is usually delivered by Registered Nurses or by Health Care Assistants via a clinical competency-based training programme.  We are equipped to meet the needs of children & adults with a range of complex health conditions and care requirements, including:

• Bowel Management   Brain Injury   • Epilepsy   • Gastrostomy Care   • Neurological Conditions   • Spinal Injury  • Tracheostomy • Ventilation

Our People

We provide Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Support Workers and Personal Assistants who are carefully selected based on their knowledge, skills and previous experience.  All of our staff must undertake enhanced DBS and reference checks before being fully trained at our base in Wirral, Merseyside.

We work together with our clients and their families to identify the right person for their needs, interests and circumstances.  As well as the relevant clinical skills and experience, this may include somebody who lives locally, shares the same hobbies and has the right personality to allow those receiving care or support to make the most of it.

We are aware that introducing new faces into your family home can be challenging, so we arrange meet & greet visits to allow everybody to get know each other and ask any questions before we start working in your home.

Clinical Support

A Lead Nurse is appointed to each package of care we provide.  They will visit the family home initially to carry out comprehensive risk assessments, complete care plans and deliver competency-based training to our staff.

The Lead Nurse will provide clinical oversight throughout the duration of each care package, attending any progress meetings, reviewing the care plans and keeping in touch with the family, professionals and staff to ensure everything is safe and everybody is happy.
